Dear Members and Friends of Lutheran Church of the Living Christ,
Grace to you and peace from our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
We had a wonderful Men’s Ministry meeting last night, and we will have several activities in the near future as a result of some of the conservations that we had. Please look for updates in the near future.
Last Sunday we recognized our graduating seniors from Germantown High School. They will be graduating on Sunday afternoon. Please remember them and their families in your thoughts and prayers. To help you prepare for worship on Sunday/Monday:
Prayer of the Day
O God, on this day you open the hearts of your faithful people by sending into us your Holy Spirit. Direct us by the light of that Spirit, that we may have a right judgment in all things and rejoice at all times in your peace, through Jesus Christ, your Son and our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
Psalm 104:24-34, 35b
I Corinthians 12:3b-13

Women’s Group Gathering - The next Women's Gathering will be an afternoon gathering on Tuesday, June 17th at 1:30 p.m. for a Bible Study and refreshments at LCLC. Please contact Louise Thorin at 414-333-2183 with any questions.
Bunco Night - July 15th from 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. All women of the church and their friends are invited. Please remember to bring an almost new item for our prize table. Snacks and beverages will be provided. Contact Shelley Erdman at 262-502-4162 with any questions.
July 4th Celebration - LCLC will once again participate in the community’s annual 4th of July celebrations at Firemen’s Park. Just as we did for the last few years, we will host a pie booth at the celebration along with selling drinks. If you are interested in helping by volunteering on the 4th of July at the event itself that would be greatly appreciated. You could also donate water or coke products to the cause anytime between now and June 29th. After worship on June 29th, we will take inventory and make any additional purchases that we may need. We are collecting those items in the kitchen at this time.
Florist Avenue Summer Lunch Program - We will be helping serve lunch for the Florist Avenue Lutheran Church Youth Summer Lunch Program the week of July 7th to 11th. The idea is that we prepare lunch for approximately 26 children and 6 adult staff at their big kitchen. We serve it to them at noon 4 days in a row, then Friday have prepared bag lunches for their field trip. We really need volunteers to help with this. We usually have enough volunteers for any one person to work one day (more if you wish) with another experienced volunteer. If you are interested in getting involved in a rewarding program of short duration, please give me a call, Linda Stehman at 414-434-0932. We also need food donations so see the sign-up sheet in the narthex for a full list of what we will need. Please have these foods at church by Sunday July 6th. Thank you.
Blood Drive - On Thursday July 10th from 1:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Lutheran Church of the Living Christ along with St. John’s UCC & Our Savior UCC will be hosting a blood drive to benefit the American Red Cross. Every day hospital patients rely on generous blood donors – like you – for the precious blood products they need to treat a wide variety of medical conditions. If you are interested in participating in our blood drive as a donor or to volunteer to help the day of the drive, please contact Tim Zylka at 262-361-2447 or email@example.com.
Have a blessed weekend!
