Dear Members and Friends of Lutheran Church of the Living Christ,
Grace to you and peace from our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
I want to start off by giving you thanks for all of the cards, emails, well wishes, and gifts that I received for my 50th birthday last week. Your kindness is greatly appreciated. It was a wonderful day and extended weekend of celebration.
The choir will be singing this Sunday at the 8:00 a.m. service. Please gather at 7:30 a.m. for practice.
This Sunday will be the final Sunday for our Bible Study on St. Paul’s letter to the Galatians, and we are saving the best part of the book for last. Even if you were not able to join us in previous weeks, you will not want to miss the exciting conclusion to this important epistle. Class should start at about 9:15 a.m. and conclude by 10:15 a.m.
We have a lot of things going on in the life of the church over the next few weeks. Please look below at a list (and in some cases a description) of the various activities. I would especially like to draw your attention to the upcoming Easter Breakfast. Although sponsored by the youth of the congregation, we need everyone’s help to make this a success. A sign-up sheet is located at the church, but if you would like to let me know by email if you are willing to bring anything, I will mark that accordingly. We need eggs, potatoes, fruit, bakery, juice, milk, and any other items that you think would help to complete our breakfast. Thank you for your help!
Thanks for the flowers orders for the Easter Flower Garden that are already coming in. If you have questions, please refer to my email from yesterday or feel free to contact me.
To help you prepare for worship on Sunday:
Prayer of the Day
Almighty God, your Son came into the world to free us all from sin and death. Breathe upon us the power of your Spirit, that we may be raised to new life in Christ and serve you in righteousness all our days, through Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
Flowers on Sunday are given by Karen Peters.
